Lost or Found a pet? File a report with Petco Love Lost

Losing a pet is stressful—but Petco Love Lost makes finding them a whole lot easier. This free tool searches through over 300,000 lost and found pets to help bring furry friends back home. Just upload a photo of your missing pet, or share a picture of a pet you’ve found. Shelters can join in too by posting animals in their care. Then the magic happens—the system uses smart photo matching to connect the dots and notify everyone when there’s a possible match.

What else can you do?

Search your neighborhood

Most lost pets don’t wander far; many are found within just a mile of home. That’s why your neighborhood is the best place to start. Talk to your neighbors, spread the word, and ask if they’ve spotted your pet.

Check your local shelter

Check your local shelters or search Facebook groups for lost and found pets. You can also post in neighborhood Facebook groups. Follow our Facebook page.

Regularly update your microchip

Is your pet microchipped? Take a quick moment to make sure your contact information is up to date, especially if you’ve recently moved or changed phone numbers. Updates are fast and easy, and your pet’s info is refreshed as soon as you submit it to your microchip company.

Create a Lost Pet Flyer

Create a Lost Pet flyer with a picture of your pet and your contact information. Distribute around your neighborhood and local businesses.
